We partnered with NBER's IT team to design and build a series of Drupal subsites supporting the organization's programs, projects, conferences, and centers. Working side by side with their staff throughout the engagement, we established a shared, maintainable foundation that kept the sites consistent in structure and appearance while giving each program the flexibility to present its own content and priorities.
Each subsite was built to be durable and easy to extend, with reusable components and a clear governance model that allowed the team to manage many properties without duplicating effort. That shared architecture meant future changes could be made once and rolled out broadly, rather than maintained site by site.
Alongside the build, we provided hands-on technical training so NBER's team could confidently manage and extend the subsites on their own. By the end of the engagement, the team had both the sites themselves and the skills to keep them moving forward independently.
