The College Diabetes Network (CDN) was in need of a new website, redesign and vision. Jantcu worked with the organization to design and build a new site using Drupal that emphasized current initiatives and prompted direct communication with their audience. We used a component based architecture to give the CDN staff more control and flexibility over layout, while still keeping true to the theme we designed.
We rehauled the site's information architecture to target specific user journeys based on the personas we developed during our discovery phase. We also poured through the existing site analytics to identify and correct areas that diverged from the organization's core communication strategy. We created a resource hub that increased the transparency of information available to students living with type 1 diabetes on campus as well as individuals within their support networks.
One goal of the project was to bring additional Chapter resources into the fold. As part of this initiative, we implemented an interactive map that promotes easy access to information about resources and contacts at specific schools. We also underwent a second phase of the project where we built a membership portal to empower Chapter leaders to manage their online properties and connect members with ambassadors throughout their programs.
